What is Ash Wednesday?

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent - a time for focusing our hearts and minds on our faith. The act of ash imposition marks a person’s commitment to learning and growing from our bad habits and sins, so that they can grow closer to God. Many people use this time as a way to give up distractions or negative behaviors that get in the way of their relationship with God.

Who can participate in Ash Wednesday?

Anyone and everyone! No matter what journey you’re on, member or not, you’re welcome to participate in our Ash Wednesday experience.

What Ash Wednesday Experience is right for me?

Our Drive-Through Ash Imposition was started as a way for people on their way home from work to participate in the act of ash imposition in a convenient and fun way. Simply drive up by the entrance to our sanctuary, and a pastor will meet and pray with you. This experience takes place from 5:30pm - 6:30pm.

Our Ash Wednesday Service is a more traditional service in our sanctuary. There will be a short message, with prayer time and ash imposition.
