Mission Statement for Christian Education

The mission of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ is to provide the best Christian education to the whole church and community so they will know God and reflect and practice their Christian faith in their daily lives.

Volunteer Policy

In accordance with the St. Paul’s United Church of Christ Safe Child Policy, all volunteers are screened and background checked.  In addition, volunteers are trained on all safe practices and procedures to ensure that we are doing everything we can to keep are kids and volunteers safe.

Sunday Morning

Nursery - Our Nursery team, led by staff member Jennifer Kreisz, along with loving volunteers, provide care to our children (birth up to age 3) every Sunday, 8:15-11:45 a.m.  Our Nursery is located on the lower level, right by the elevator.  Simply take the elevator down from the Narthex.  A nursery attendant will be in the nursery to receive your child, diaper bag and any necessary instructions.

Kingdom Kidz -Offered at 9:00 and 10:30.  Children attend worship service with the families and are invited to Kingdom Kidz after the Children’s Message.  Grouped with kids in similar grade levels, children have loads of fun learning the Bible through activities, lessons, games and play.

9:00         Multi-age class
10:30      Pre-K/K, School-age Class

Teachers will greet children in the Narthex and will walk with them to the classrooms.

Parents are to pick up their child at the classroom door immediately following the worship service.

First Sunday –We think it’s important that kids get to worship with their families and we value kids in our worship services, so on the 1st Sunday of each month, kids will remain in church with their families for the entire service.  This gives families an opportunity to worship together and it gives kids an opportunity to experience Communion, which is served on the 1st Sunday of each month.  We offer an Open Table at St. Paul’s.  Families decide for themselves if their children will take the communion elements or not.  Nursery is still offered on the 1st Sundays, and children up to age 5 are welcome in the nursery at any time during the service.
